I've just bought the game and I can't wait to play it. However, whenever I try to load the WHDLoad version on my A1200 with TF1260 card, I get the following error message:
Exception "Access Fault" ($4008)
PC = $FF21E4C (Task 'Initial CLI', Prg 'game.exe' Off $3DF74, ExpMem $D3E4C)
I will contact Fabry Amiga Vault, because he created the WHDLoad version. Try running the regular version of LhA/ADF from under the system and let me know if it also causes errors, as it will be relevant whether the error lies with the WHDLoad version itself, or if I made a mistake somewhere. I don't own a TF1260, so I have no way to test, but thanks for the information.
Thanks for the reply. I can confirm that both the ADF and the LHA archive work perfectly fine on my A1200 with TF1260 card. I think the issue is only with the WHDLoad version.
Excellent puzzle game, I enjoyed playing it. I also added it to my new "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from January 2025" video with other recently released games. I hope you enjoy the video.
I've never seen a sokoban with such attention to things outside of box moving, every clone was just the core, stripped down to the bare logic puzzle part.
But those non-core additions actually make the core game way more enjoyable and fun, it's great that you revived the whole :D
BTW, since I don't have an equipment to test it right now, does the "map testing" involves automatic map testing or just the manual?
Testing the map is done 'manually' as in the original. After creating a map in the editor, we select 'TEST' and if we pass the map we created, the editor then asks us if we want to save it. If we confirm at this point, the map can be used in tournament/single play. If we manually select to save the map, it will save, but we won't be able to play it until we test it. This was the case in the original version.

A great conversion ! (Ok, Joystick support would have been neat)
Sokoban and Alleycat are the first Games i can remember playing, before getting the Amiga.
Any chance for a Alley Cat conversation? Pretty please !!!
greetz & thanks
Really nice game. One of the first computer games i ever played.
Sadly, the WHDLoad Version is not running fully clean. The music isn't playing in the levels.
At my place everything works fine. Maybe there is a lack of free chip ram?
Hello tukinem, thanks for your reply. I tested again, and found the reason why it doesn't work.
My A500 has two accelarator cards. On ACA1234 with 68030@50MHz, the music is sometimes playing and sometimes not in the lift and in the levels.
With ACA500plus with an 68000@28Mhz, the music is played on all screens.
The adf version copied to hdd works fine with both cpu's.
Hello. Maybe You must run game without CPU cache. I have an Amiga 600 with A630 turbo card (with 68030@50 too) and it's common problem.
Thanks for your advice. I tried it out by disabling CPU cache in Kickstart, but the behaviour of the game stays the same.
Wow, that raises memories! :) Thanks for keeping the faithful CGA graphics in the game.

Do you have an idea what could be causing it?
Thanks!

Can this be installed on HD?
Yes. You can copy files from ADF to HDD and play game.
Excellent. Will purchase and check out next week.
Awesome game!
