Great game, congrats to you :)
If you want i and my Amiga Vault team, specializing in WHDLoad conversions, can create a standard WHDLoad version for you, with custom slave, info on splash screen, dual state NewIcon and ReadMe file for you and all Amiga community. :)
Tell me what do you think about, it could be a pleasure and an honour give our little contribute for your hard work ;)

Thank you, but this is not necessary. The game will run without problems on any Amiga system with 68k architecture and there is no need to create a WHDLoad version.

Regards.

As I have already written to you privately, the Amigaos format is designed only for Workbench systems on Amiga while the WHDLoad format is much more versatile and useful for a variety of real/virtual/simulated Amiga environments and machines, such as the 500 mini ed PC/Linux frontends such as Hyperspin, LaunchBox and Batocera.

Furthermore, it is ideal for those who - even in the Real Amiga with Workbench environment - already have a collection of games in WHDLoad and would like to add your game to the catalog while maintaining the same standard: as already said in private, the choice is yours, however think about it; )

Great game! Any chance you could add the box art and logo to the download? Thank you for making this version!

(+1)

Thanks. On store's site are pictures of box art. Here:

Awesome! What about the logo by itself?

Tested again with version 1.1. The game is getting better and better and the new graphic style is in no way inferior to top commercial games like those from Team 17 from the 90s. A changing color palette in the background from level to level and a saveable high score would be nice. Also, some enemies move a bit too jerkily and are therefore difficult to hit. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 02:04:45. English subtitles are also available. 🙂

very good

Excellent game. A friend of mine played it ...

Nice game! Only the frog like walking animation and the very jerky enemy movement is disturbing. Maybe you can improve that?

The frog, or rather a moth, was supposed to move in jumps. You can predict its movement because it always moves diagonally. It bounces off walls and magma, returning in the other direction, and so on :)

(1 edit)

You are certainly right but the distance of each move is too big and so hard to deal with in my opinion. So maybe less distance between this "jumps" would also make the movement a little bit more fluid. It is causing the game to be much more difficult than necessary.

The walking animation should be improved. It is looking very weird.

This is a very nice clone, too:

Thanks for making this! I see 3 different ways the title is spelled: Ami-H.E.R.O. or AmiHERO or AMI H.E.R.O. which is the official title? Thanks!

(+1)

Ami-H.E.R.O. or Ami H.E.R.O. because H.E.R.O. is not a word, but "Helicopter Emergency Rescue Operation".

(+1)

Wow, massive improvements, thank you for your dedication !

(+1)

How about Anti-Hero? ;)

Awesome - v1.1

Where can i preorder the Box Version?

Greetings

https://ka-plus.pl/en/store/

On this site game should be for sale.

Thank you.

Do you know when it is available there?

(+1)

I asked the publisher and it should appear on the store's website tomorrow

It looks nice, you could put some more information, it looks very interesting, in what language or maker it was made, number of levels, and something about how it was made would be interesting.

I'm going to download it and try it

Thanks.

This game was written in Blitz Basic 2.

Good game, thank you. I also added it to my "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from January 2024" -video too.

Thanks for gameplay's video :)

Nice conversion of the original, although I was hoping for a little better graphics more worthy of the Amiga palette. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 04:10:24. Subscription to our YouTube or Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

Thank you for the game broadcast. I found a graphic designer, or rather, the graphic designer himself contacted me (the same one who improved my graphics for AmiTower). Currently, I am slowly modifying the tiles and sprites for the game, and I am trying to keep up with changing the graphics and changing the entire game code. In the version that is currently available, we use a Dual Playfield screen, and now everything is converted to one 32-color playfield. There should also be more animations in the game, so please be patient and best regards :)

(1 edit) (+1)

In that case, we would of course be happy to show the game again in a later livestream, ideally in the final version and then there will be a correspondingly re-vote. Keep up the good work! 🙂👍

Anyone tested this in WinFellow? I configured an Amiga 500 with 0,5MB chip RAM and 0,5MB bogo RAM and there are some bugs. Very nice idea though!

Game was testing on WinUAE with ROM 1.3 and 0.5MB slow RAM + 0.5MB chip RAM and on a real Amiga 1200 with 8MB fast RAM and kick 3.2.2 and a real Amiga 600 with CPU 030 + 2MB chip RAM + 64MB fast RAM.

Will further check. Did you see the comments on indieretronews.com ?

I'm just browsing. Overall Ami-H.E.R.O. It was created because I wanted to see if I could faithfully reproduce flying up, falling, gravity and collisions on the tiles of the room. Once I got the hang of it, I decided to make simple graphics, the first level and simple enemies, similar to those in the original. It is not a faithful copy of the game, but only a model based on the original. There are some shortcomings, e.g. collisions when shooting, but overall I think the game is playable and addictive. If I have enough patience and a graphic designer is found, the project will continue.

Good to know and good luck!
